Something Different as Christmas Approaches

From this weekend, November 23rd, our Abbey History Guides will be giving a unique version of their usual History Talks in the form of a Christmas Themed History Tour at 11.30 am, 1 pm and 3 pm daily. Kylemore Abbey is especially magical at Christmas time and our talented guides will bring you on a trip back to Christmases past to learn about Irish, Kylemore and Victorian Christmas Traditions along with how Christmas has been celebrated by the Benedictine nuns at Kylemore for almost 100 years.

At 12 pm and 2 pm each Saturday and Sunday the guides will read the children's classic, The Night Before Christmas, followed by a family orientated history tour. Your children will love imaging Kylemore Christmases in years gone by and what the nine Henry children expected to find in their stockings!

Visitors to Kylemore can also enjoy music in the Gothic Church on Saturdays and Sundays and of course our great value Sunday Carvery Lunch from 12-3 pm (entry to the estate only €5 with each two course Sunday lunch purchased).

Tours are included in your usual visit ticket.
