Praise the Lord, my soul! (Psalm 145)
Jesus continues to make his way through Galilee, performing his Messianic miracles. Prescinding from the deeper meaning of Mark's Gospel, which is all about discipleship and the cost of discipleship, let us imagine ourselves to be the deaf mute brought before Jesus in this gospel.
The next time we receive Holy Communion, let us receive it from His hands, (which we do) and feel those healing fingers in our ears, on our tongue and sit in love and wonder to be so privileged.
